If sewage is coming up into the house, call. For routine pumping or a home-sale inspection, send a request and a septic company that serves your address will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- The property address, so the right company gets your request
- What you need: pumping, an inspection, a repair or service on an aerobic unit
- When the tank was last pumped, if you know
- If you're buying or selling, your inspection deadline
- Whether the property has more than one tank or an alarm panel
Sewage backing up? Stop running water, the washer and the dishwasher until the system is checked, and keep children and pets away from any wet or smelly areas in the yard.
